The Waiting...

logisticsladI took Duncan in for surgery this morning and met with the vet to go over what to expect. Duncan is now 7.6 pounds, so he has lost a half pound in a week and is down from his normal weight of 8.5-9.0. He HAS been eating and drinking, so the vet plans to do some bloodwork and test for liver function as well. There will be an x-ray for any internal masses and his fur will be well shorn. If all goes well, I will be able to take him home today and await further pathology lab reports. We had a long snuggle last night while I was lying awake anticipating today.
