Both cats were alive and appeared to be uninjured this morning when I got up. I take this as a good sign :-) Sawyer has sought out petting and has been wandering through his normal routine, while Chester has been hiding under the end table in the corner of the living room and hissing whenever Sawyer comes too close. Chester finally let me pet him this morning about half an hour after Sawyer had gone down to nap in the basement. Sawyer seems to have won every round of batting and I haven't seen any biting or scratching, so I've left them together while I'm at work today.

Hee - everytime I've ever brought a new cat home, I've thought, "Hm, wonder what I'll find when I get home from work?" Fortunately, everyone does get to the point where they can live and let live.
