Fridge Question

My fridge has been intermittantly leaking water out of the bottom and this seems to coincide with condensation appearing inside. It's a Frigidaire and it came with the house. Any ideas on what to do (other than get a new fridge)? Should I make it warmer or colder? Should I try to get the gasket on the door replaced to provide a better seal? Who does one call to fix a fridge anyway? a plumber?

the replacement gasket will help seal the door better, which will reduce the condensation, also make sure the drains are clear in the bottom of the box

take a look here for more tips - http://www.appliance411.com

get a new fridge. this one, if it's more than five years old is probably costing you an extra $50 a year in electricity as well as messing up your floor. you can call a fridge repair person ( Sears can probably service it, otherwise look up "appliance repair") but you're probably better off just getting a new one!

It might just be part of the frost free freezer system. there is a drainage tray that if it is not set right, will leak. I've had this happen more than once. I'll ask my dad where the tray is. I think it is underneath the fridge.

Heya. I used to work for a plumbing company, and if you need outside help, the plumber is the guy to call. I don't recommend the guy I worked for, but I can recommend a great guy if you decide that's what you need. Give me a call anytime for his contact info.
