Redoing the bathroom

I went in to work today to take care of the animals. They were very happy to see me and enjoyed their extra treats. Then I joined my parents for brunch at their house. That was very nice and they were happy to see me. After that I was sufficiently fortified to restart my project of redoing my upstairs bathroom.
Those of you who saw the place before I moved in can recall the horror of this bathroom. It was covered in hideous mismatched wallpaper and the ceiling was painted sky blue with white sponged clouds. We had stripped off most of the wallpaper before I moved in, and last Winter I and a friend spread drywall over the remaining wallboards. It then took me a week to clean up all of the spilled and hardened drywall plaster which was all over the place. Then with one thing after another, I didn't do anything else in the bathroom until today. I spent today removing the remaining plaster from the about three-quarters of the wooden molding. It comes off easily with a wet sponge (although the sponge itself tends to disintegrate during the process). I put on a CD and worked until it was over which amounted to doing the three-quarters of the molding. It was tiring, but it felt really good to get back to it. I spent awhile cleaning up and planned out my attack. I have to: 1) clean the rest of the molding, 2) sand the various surfaces (no easy feat because of the many bends, 3) smooth out any remaining gaps between the wall and the molding, 4) prime (using mildew resistant primer), and 5) paint the ceiling white and the walls a pale blue, which I think will look nice. Since I'm off this week, I hope to be able to get it done. Then I can finally put the lights back in the bathroom, then work on the caulking and fixtures.
I suppose what I really should do is remove the wooden molding, paint under it, and then replace it, but that seems like too big a job for me at this time. I guess the people who live here after me can curse me for my cover up job in the bathroom, but if they only knew what had come before...
