One of my staff called me early this morning to let me know that there was no power in the building. She checked on the emergency freezers and the animals and eveything was ok there. I asked her to find out more from Facilities, and if it didn't sound hopeful, then to go home. No point in hanging around a dark, non-airconditioned building. So now I have to figure out how to notify the rest of the staff and whether or not I should even bother going in...
