I expected some Darkover to make the list and/or Varley's Titan/Wizard/Demon series. Not that I miss them, they're not the best.

Yeah, characters from MZB's Shattered Chain or Thendara House should have been there. I enjoy Varley's work, but I never liked his lead character in Titan.

I know the author, and she was somewhat limited by having to focus the list on tv & movies. She would have loved to include many more books.
