Saw it tonight with
defenestr8tor and liked it a great deal...
The movie managed to blend the dozen or so Wolverine origin stories into a reasonably coherent one. The acting was pretty good overall and the characters all felt right. Yes, Hugh Jackman was indeed naked, Gambit was adorable, and Ryan Reynold's naked chest wasn't bad either ;-) The pacing dragged here and there, but the scenery and effects were almost flawless. I truly believed that the actors actually had powers while I was watching the movie. It's worth staying through the credits for a few surprises. All in all, it helped erase the memory of the lame third movie and hopefully will breathe new life into the franchise.
Picked up the Wolverine special from Free Comic Book Day in honor of the film!
